Man remanded in custody after drug haul in Peel

by isleofman.com 19th May 2012

A 29 year old Peel man has been remanded in custody after police seized drugs with a street value of more than ?5,000.

Steven Lee Barlow, of Market Street, appeared before magistrates via video link from the Island’s prison and the case was adjourned until June the 13th.

Officers went to a house in the street last week where they found what's described as ‘a significant amount’ of Class A controlled drugs - believed to be cocaine - and a small amount of a Class C drug.

Police say it’s a significant local seizure and shows those who deal drugs in the west of the Island are being actively targeted.
