Housing Review Consultation – Deadline Extended

The Department of Social Care is pleased to announce that the deadline for responses to the Housing Review Consultation has been extended by one week and will now close on Friday 15 June 2012.

 

The purpose of the consultation exercise is to invite comments on the information and potential options identified within the Housing Review and is open to all those who are interested. 

 

The extension follows representations from Local Authorities who, following the recent local elections, want to ensure there is sufficient time for appropriate engagement from newly elected Members.

 

The Department has had an excellent response to the consultation, receiving over 850 submissions to date. The extended deadline will ensure everyone who has not yet taken the opportunity to respond can make their views heard. This will enable the Department to make an informed decision on the final options for the affordable Housing Sector.

 

The Department has produced a survey with which to gauge public views on the options identified. This can be accessed via the following link:
