Cummins 11th in Superstock

Ramsey Rocket Conor Cummins stormed through the field from 36th on the starting grid to finish 11th in the opening race of the North West 200.

The Tyco Suzuki rider had problems in the dry practice session on Tuesday when a front brake locked but qualified yesterday morning in wet conditions.

Dan Kneen didn't start the race.

The winner was Tyco team-mate Alastair Seeley with young Lee Johnston second and Aussie Cameron Donald third.

Their was great joy for Ryan Farquhar in the Supertwin contest.

No only did he take victory but his KMR prepared Kawasaki bikes locked out the podium with veteran Jeremy McWilliams second and Michael Rutter third.

Dave Madsen-Mygdal finished 19th and Billy Cummins crossed the line in 25th.

John Barton was a non starter.
