A charity which brings children to the Island from the Chernobyl ‘Dead Zone’ in Eastern Europe is appealing for more host families.
The Friends of Chernobyl’s Children gives youngsters a month-long holiday on the Isle of Man, as a respite from radioactive conditions in the Belarusian city of Mogilev.
But this year, only 13 are due to visit in July – the lowest number since the organisation set up on the Island more than a decade ago.
Organiser Norman Rivers says he’d love to hear from families who could share their home temporarily.
And if you’d like to get involved, you can contact Norman on 625 926.
