Manhole covers could save cash

by isleofman.com 16th May 2012

Bikers who hate manhole covers may soon be in for a treat thanks to a Shropshire-based company which is hoping to trial its products here.

R and B UK’s managing director Ian Russell says his company’s new anti-slip covers could be used on the TT course next year.

He says the covers could save the government cash. At present come covers are buried, while others have to be replaced before racing.

Mr Russell says it was his company’s sponsorship of bike race Michael Rutter that provided the TT connection.
