Fire Crews from Douglas Station have attended a rubbish fire in the area of the Stoney Mountain Road near Foxdale for the second time in a month.
The fire was again in a pile of rubbish around ten metres square that was due to be processed.
It appeared to have been burning for some time before the alarm was raised.
The site operator was called to assist in dealing with the fire whilst fire crews used several thousand gallons of water to extinguish the flames.
The nearest fire hydrant was a ? mile round trip and fire crews were in attendance for nearly 2 hours due to the size of the fire and the difficulties presented by the water supply situation.
