Irish Summer Season Underway

by isleofman.com 11th May 2012

The Steam Packet Company’s Isle of Man summer sailings to Belfast and Dublin are underway, with the 96-metre wave-piercing catamaran Manannan predominantly servicing both routes throughout the season.

This is the third year in succession that Manannan has been scheduled and sailings will run throughout the summer until September 30.

Marketing and Online Manager Renée Caley said: ‘With up to 3 sailings to Ireland each week there are plenty of opportunities to visit friends and family in Ireland using one of the great offers that we have available this year.

‘For those wishing to spend time discovering more about our Celtic neighbours,  www.discoverireland.com/gb  has details of what to do, where to stay and lists many of the festivals and events taking place throughout the summer. The Irish Open at Royal Portrush at the end of June is just one of the highlights in the north whilst the Galway Festival Season in July is always popular with visitors.

‘To make the most of your trip to Ireland, it’s best to consider using a combination of Dublin and Belfast ports.’
