Michael school welcomes Muggles on the evening of Friday 25th May, inviting them to see some amazing tricks when the Young Magicians of Mann stage their ‘It’s Magic!’ show at 7pm. The show is touring a number of schools, and on this occasion the show will help to support the Pahar Trust Nepal. The shows are organized by Lexi Watterson, Paul Martin and Mike Clague. Lexi explained “Michael School has very strong links with the Trust, which helps to build schools for children living in the mountain regions of Nepal. We’ve been told that the children there share our love of magic, and hopefully we’ll be able to assist the Trust with their inspiring work.”
Taking part with Lexi on this occasion are Daniel Quayle, Philip Morrison, Chris Corlett, Thomas Clague, Andrew Martin and Juan Moore. Lexi added “ The show is great fun for the performers and the audience, and is suitable for all ages. We always feature a couple of illusions, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to see these up-close, when they are far more amazing than seeing them on the TV. We can definitely promise that there won’t be any camera tricks!” Tickets for this entertaining show are available from the school, tel. 878246 and cost £4.
2012 is an important year for the Young Magicians of Mann, which were founded in 1987 after Mike ran two magic workshops as part of the Youth Festival organized by the Department of Education’s Youth Service. Tickets for this full evening of magic, dance and illusions are now available from the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal, tel. 600555 and on-line at www.villagaiety.com . They cost £14 for adults and £8 for concessions. Family tickets are also available
