Ballaugh woman 'much loved'

by isleofman.com 8th May 2012

A 91 year-old Ballaugh woman killed in a collision on Sunday has been named by police.

Freda Starkey died after the incident at Bishopscourt on the Kirk Michael to Ballaugh Road at 3pm.

Mrs Starkey, who had lived in Ballaugh for more than 30 years, has been described as a ‘much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be greatly missed by her family and friends’.

Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses and are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a silver Volkswagen car, who may have been behind the blue Honda Jazz before the crash.
