Young cyclists show their mettle

Talented young Island cyclists have performed well on the opening two days of the Isle of Man Youth Cycling Tour.

Among the impressive showings have been Elizabeth Holden who has won the first two stages in the Youth A girls category.

In the Youth B boys, Dudley Owen secured a third place on Saturday.

In Youth C, William Draper took a third and then a first place; Emily Bridson has two second places, while Chloe Crellin has two third positions.

There’s been more success in the Youth D class with a second and third place for Blae Cain; two second places for Charlie Gibson and a third and a first for Charlie Moss.

Mairi Harrison is well on top after two wins out of two in the Youth E class.

Hot on her heels is Chloe Comaish after two second places and Chloe Dillon who has twice finished third.

In the boys, Zac Walker has twice been runner-up with Dillon Dowson finishing third in both races.

The tour concludes in Ramsey on Sunday.
