Zac Hall has been booted out of the Liberal Vannin Party.
A statement from the party says chairman Roy Redmayne has told Mr Hall his membership has been revoked.
The Onchan MHK got into the House of Keys on a Lib Vann ticket at last year's general election.
Zac Hall was suspended by the Liberal Vannin Party last month.
That followed the sacking of Mr Hall and North Douglas MHK John Houghton from the Department of Education and Children for failing to back minister, Lib Vann leader Peter Karran, over the privatisation of pre-schools.
Mr Hall had accused the party of Stalinist tendencies in the way it suspended him.
Party Chairman Roy Redmayne says, "The decision regarding Mr Hall was not taken lightly.
"He was given every opportunity to regain the confidence of the party but he chose to ignore all the advice he was given and left us with no real choice.
"It is disappointing but that is the end of the matter and we shall move on."
Liberal Vannin says it will be making no further comment at this stage.
