Malpass back in the chair

by isleofman.com 3rd May 2012

Captain Nigel Malpass is back in the chair in Ramsey for a third successive term.

His fellow colleagues re-elected him chairman of the town’s commissioners at their annual general meeting this week.

Proposer Richard Radcliffe, lead member for finance, said Captain Malpass had led the board ‘with distinction’ for the past two years.

He'll be supported in his duties by Sylvia Beattie who has been elected deputy chairman.

In Onchan, Robin Turton is the new chairman with June Kelly vice-chairman, while Barbara Brereton – who topped the poll in Malew – appointed chairwoman for the parish board.
