Former police officer chairman of Port Erin board

by isleofman.com 3rd May 2012

Retired police officer Ged Power has been named chairman of Port Erin Commissioners.

Mr Power, who topped the poll in the village election last week, will head the board for the next 12 months – something he describes as a ‘privilege’.

His vice chairman will be long-serving member Philip Crellin.

Mr Power says he’s grateful to his colleagues for their support and pleased Mr Crellin has been selected as deputy for his highly valued experience in local authority matters.

He believes the new team of commissioners are determined to fulfil their responsibilities and propel Port Erin along the 'pathway to success'.
