April coldest for a decade

by isleofman.com 2nd May 2012

If you’ve been shivering your way through spring you’re not alone – the Met Office says last month was the coldest April for ten years.

The average temperature over the month was 7.8 degrees Celcius – the lowest figure for the month since 2001.

But it wasn’t all bad news, with plenty of April sunshine. Weathermen say there was more than twenty per cent more than normal.

Earlier this year, the Met Office revealed the Island had its warmest March on record.
