Douglas will not be promoted from South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Two.
That's despite the situation regarding champions elect Ruskin Park and a possible 20 points deduction still remaining unresolved by the RFU North Competitions Committee.
Fourth placed Crewe and Nantwich have successfully appealed against an earlier 10 point penalty and now move above last weekend's Manx Cup winners.
That means the highest Douglas can finish in the final league table is third with just the top two going up.
It also means the season is not over for Vagabonds who need to play against Oswestry as their opponents still have a chance of going up as they now trail Crewe and Nantwich by 3 points.
The match will take place at Ballafletcher on Saturday 12th May.
