by isleofman.com 30th April 2012

A new specialist, private client and commercial law firm has been launched by advocate Paul Kerruish, called Kerruish Law & Trust which, together with its subsidiaries, will offer clients a range of legal and wealth management services.

Paul, who was managing director at Gough Advocates for the last six years, is taking his existing private client and commercial team with him into this new venture, including advocates, Stephen Mann and Andrew Marshall, English solicitor, Rachel Jepson and fiduciary manager Voirrey Collister.

“We aim to be a pro-active, boutique firm that provides tailor-made advice to clients who can increasingly see the benefit of building a close ‘Trusted Advisor’ relationship with their lawyer,” said Paul.

”Having worked in all areas of the law during my career, I know that my passion lies in the commercial and private client sectors, where the positive nature and thrill of working on a deal with creative thinking can benefit all parties involved.  I want to develop this creative and pro-active approach within my team, to enhance the firm’s reputation and provide innovative solutions to our clients.”

Manx born and educated, Paul is a well-respected member of the Isle of Man Law Society Council and is Chairman of the Isle of Man Law Society Conveyancing Committee.

Paul is also a member of the Isle of Man Institute of Directors who consider good governance, strategic direction and vision to be key to business success.   Having achieved certified status with the Institute, Paul now intends to progress with the programme to become a chartered director.

The firm’s new website; www.KLT.im will go live on 1st May and as well as being an information tool for clients, it also showcases the company’s unusual new branding that was conceived as a result of Paul’s passion for Manx impressionist art and developed by local design company Home Strategic.

Paul added: “We wanted our branding to reflect the personality of the firm and to be different from the sometimes rather generic images used by other law firms and professional services companies. Not only is our branding unique and memorable, it displays some superb pieces of historical Manx art in a contemporary setting and we really hope people will enjoy viewing them.  I would like to thank Manx National Heritage for their kind support in allowing us access to the Manx National Art Collection for this purpose.”
