Campaigners celebrate Langness victory

by isleofman.com 27th April 2012

Access rights campaigners PROWL are celebrating after what could be the end of a seven year saga.

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has lost his legal battle, at appeal, in the dispute over access to path on the Langness peninsula.

A judgment’s ruled public rights of way on paths bordering his family holiday home do not breach the couple’s human rights.

Prowl has protested against the Clarksons re-routing a stretch of the coastal footpath to protect their privacy.

The couple appealed after the paths were deemed public rights of way following a public inquiry.
