East Meets West with Bollywood on the Isle

Crossroads Care and Bollywood on the Isle are working in partnership to spice up the islands nightlife with a Bollywood Night to raise funds for the charity.

 

Crossroads Care Bollywood Night will take place on Saturday 28th July 2012 at The Pavilion, Union Mills Football Club Club House and offers an experience with a difference with authentic Indian cuisine, dress, dancing and much more.

 

Alpana Delaney of Bollywood on the Isle provides a complete Bollywood experience closer to home. Alpana has hosted many successful Bollywood Nights on the island and is now working with Crossroads Care to bring the magic of Bollywood to you.

 

Crossroads Care Bollywood Night will offer guests an ‘Indian Welcome’ at the door by placing a garland around their neck and a forehead decoration on their head, ‘Dress Up Corner’ with individual dress up packs consisting of Saree, Bangles and Bindis for women and traditional waistcoat, trousers, turban or hat, fake moustache and stole for men.

 

Authentic Indian Cuisine will be provided by Leela’s Kitchen and Alpana will lead an interactive Bollywood dance demonstration and Bollywood dance performance. Alpana will also be offering Henna Tattoos included in the ticket price. In addition, Meena Sidpra of Glitter Mine : Henna Mine will also be offering her expertise in Ayurveda holistic therapies in line with Indian traditions.

 

There will also be a grand raffle and disco with all funds raised from the night in aid of Crossroads Care and thanks to the event sponsors Conister Bank, Tower Insurance and Manx Petroleum, every penny raised will go to the charity.
