Promotion for Marown and Union Mills Despite Defeats

Marown and Union Mills have been promoted to the Premier League.

That's despite defeats for boths sides in last night's games which were played in driving rain and high winds.

Marown lost away to Michael while the Millers slipped up at Douglas Royal.

But Onchan, the only side capable of challenging, also lost on a night of shocks in Division Two.

The full results from Division Two:-

Michael 2-1 Marown
Douglas Royal 2-1 Union Mills
Foxdale 7-1 Braddan
Pulrose 5-2 Onchan
Douglas and District 2-0 Police

Manx Radio Football correspondent Tony Mepham says despite gaining promotion both sides still have the Division Two title to play for:-

In the Premier League, Ramsey recorded a resounding 6-3 win over Gymns at Ballacloan Stadium.
