Nationalists criticise 'deference' to royals

Not everyone is preparing to wave a union jack as Prince Charles and Camilla step out in public, at the NSC in Douglas this morning and later, in a series of engagements in Peel.

The Queen is Lord of Man, a title retained after the English civil war.

But Manx nationalist party Mec Vannin says the Prince of Wales has little relevance to the Isle of Man.

Chairman Mark Kermode says the group is sceptical of public deference to the English monarchy:
