Global Fiduciary Services Provider The ILS Group Limited is set to drive further business growth in Asia through the appointment of two Client Services Executives to work from its offices in Shanghai and Beijing.
The Company, which is based in Douglas, but has offices in the British Virgin Islands, China, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Portugal, Switzerland and South America, has recruited Cindy Cheng and Ruth Guo to its international team.
Both Ruth, who will be based in Beijing, and Cindy, who will work from the Shanghai office, will assist ILS Fiduciaries (Asia) Director Noe Benziane in delivering core ILS products and added value business advisory services to the Company’s intermediary, professional and high net worth clients. They will both play a vital role in further developing ILS’s expanding client base in Asia.
Chief Executive Officer of The ILS Group Chris Eaton said: “We are delighted to welcome both Cindy and Ruth to ILS. They bring with them valuable skills, knowledge and expertise to ILS Asia’s offering and will play a significant part in the business as it develops. We are continually building upon the services we offer and are delighted to be creating such a strong and experienced team in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing to cater for our expanding client base in Asia.”
Both Cindy and Ruth will spend a month at ILS’s headquarters in the Isle of Man and London for training purposes, and will relocate to Beijing and Shanghai in May. Each of them is originally from the city they will return to.
Prior to her appointment with ILS, Ruth graduated from the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law with a first class LLB. She later went to Durham University in pursuit of a Master’s degree in International Trade and Commercial Law and recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course with the College of Law in Manchester.

Cindy Cheng obtained a LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Central Lancashire and, following the completion of a Legal Practice Course, joined a law firm in Hong Kong as a legal assistant. Cindy obtained a LLM in Commercial Law in 2009. She then joined international media information company Ebiquity.
Cindy said: “I am very much looking forward to working at ILS and that is more determined through spending time with Chris Eaton and my colleagues in the ILS office in this beautiful Island. It is such a friendly, stimulating environment to work in and support has been given throughout my time here. I hope to further contribute to the success of ILS in Asia by applying the skills and knowledge I have gained in the past through my work in both China and Hong Kong”
