Hunt for would-be burglar

Police are hunting a man who was caught breaking in to a property in Douglas.

Officers say the man, aged in his 30s, was disturbed at around 10pm on Tuesday on Prospect Terrace.

After being challenged, he ran off down Windsor Road before heading in the direction of Derby Road.

Officers are appealing for information about the incident – if you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time you can contact police on 631212 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
