Junior Achievement-The Alternative Olympics

by isleofman.com 24th April 2012

For those people who did not manage to get ticket to the Olympics or who are not quite talented enough to compete then Junior Achievement has the answer. On Friday 13th July we will be holding the Alternative Olympics at Onchan Raceway from 6.30pm – 10.30pm.

The games will include inflatable egg and spoon race, welly wanging, tandem space hopper race, the snowman challenge, three legged race plus many more. Participants must be aged 18 and over and we have the capacity for 18 teams.

This is a fundraising event on behalf of Junior Achievement organisations are able to sponsor the races at a cost of £100 per race. The money will be used to enable Junior Achievement to purchase the equipment and medals for the winners.

There are eight races in total and sponsorship will include the race being named after the sponsoring organisation and four tickets to the event. Organisations might also like to consider entering a team.

It promises to be a fun night for the whole family and we do hope that you will be able to support us.
