Plans for the South on display

by isleofman.com 19th April 2012

Regeneration plans for the south-west of the Island have gone on public display in Port Erin today.

The village railway station is hosting the exhibition for the next fortnight after a public consultation designed to revitalise the area.

Proposals for Port Erin and Port St Mary include a new community area, paving, lighting and new toilets.

It’s one of seven areas set to benefit as part of the regeneration scheme which aims to boost the local economy and breathe fresh life into the high streets.

Committee chairman, Rushen MHK Phil Gawne, says all feedback will be welcomed.
