More than 50 jobs to be created

Up to 55 new jobs are to be created in the expanding Manx fish processing industry.

Full-time and seasonal positions will be available in Peel at government’s newly established Isle of Man Food Park, as well as in Port St Mary where Carrick Bay Seafoods is expanding.

The posts are largely in scallop processing companies.

However, Billy Caley, managing director of Isle of Man Seafoods, says there is a problem trying to get Manx people interested in the jobs on offer:
