The two politicians who refused to get involved in a Tynwald debate about pre-school privatisation are being urged to publically explain their decision.
Department of Education members John Houghton and Zac Hall excused themselves from a near four hour debate - the result of which means private operators will take over state-run facilities at 12 island schools this autumn.
It’s understood Mr Houghton and Mr Hall had serious concerns over the plans but could have been sacked for voting against their own department's proposals.
Amy Burns, who led the protest over privatisation, says they displayed a lack of principles.
