Easter Donations Help Children’s Charity

by isleofman.com 16th April 2012

Barclays and Mount Murray Gym donated Easter eggs to The Children’s Centre.

The eggs were distributed to children and young people within the charity’s Residential Homes, Outreach and Contact Centre services and its Family Centres. Mount Murray Gym also donated Easter eggs along with £137.73 that was raised through a collection box at the gym. The Children’s Centre also organised an Easter fun weekend at The Strand Centre with a range of free activities including face painting, Easter egg decorating, and Easter egg hunts.

Susie Cox, Community Fundraiser at The Children’s Centre, said:

“A big thank you to Barclays, Mount Murray Gym, and The Strand Shopping Centre - they all helped make Easter extra special for lots of children. The Easter fun weekend at The Strand was very popular and just as enjoyable for our staff and volunteers as it was for parents and children! The fun weekend was not organised as a fundraising event, but many shoppers who enjoyed the activities kindly made donations and raised more than £300.”
