by isleofman.com 15th April 2012

There were some great results for two young recipients of the Mark Cavendish scholarships last night (Sat)

Swimmers Charlotte Atkinson and Laura Kinley both set new records.

At the National Sports Centre, Charlotte, who has been away with the England talent team recently, clocked a new Island senior and junior record time of 2 minutes 3.31 seconds, well inside the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games consideration time of 2 minutes 5.87 seconds.

Laura Kinley also set new Island senior and junior record in the 100 metres breast-stroke and clocked a time inside that required for consideration for the next Commonwealth Games.
