Manx resident Trevor Hemmings will be keeping his fingers crossed for the Grand National tomorrow, when his star horse could win its second National in a row.
Ballabriggs is currently one of the favourites, with bookies offering odds of around twelve to one, and spent some time on the Island over the winter.
Last year, he romped home at Aintree ridden by Jason Maguire – but was suffering dehydration and went back to the stable instead of going to the winners enclosure.
Mr Hemmings, who lives in Rhencullen, is no stranger to racing success – another of his horses, Hedgehunter, won the Grand National in 2005.
