The Isle of Man Branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation marked the recent exam successes of local tax students by presenting them with a bottle of champagne.
Clare Kelly of KPMG, Nicola Skillicorn of the IOM Tax office and Hannah Smith of Deloitte have obtained the Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) qualification and Steven Clague of RSM Tenon, Melanie Graley of KPMG and Jo Coole of KPMG have obtained the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification.
Chairman of the local branch, Guy Wiltcher, commented:
“The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) is the leading professional body in the UK for advisers dealing with all aspects of taxation. As a not-for-profit organisation its primary purpose is to promote education in taxation with a key aim of achieving a more efficient and less complex tax system for all. Membership is by examination nationally and recognised as the gold standard of UK taxation education. Its 15,600 Chartered Tax Adviser members are subject to the Institute's professional standards and are supported by a London head office and worldwide network of 36 branches. “
