Governor called to the bar

by isleofman.com 12th April 2012

The Lieutenant Governor will roll up his sleeves later today to pull a few pints.

He's the guest of honour at the Isle of Man CAMRA beer festival which gets underway later today.

Over the next three days real ale lovers can sample a wide range of bitters from around the British Isles with the festival themed "Beers from the Seven Kingdoms of Mann".

The event, at the Masonic Hall in Douglas, gets underway tonight (Thurs) with a preview session for corporate and trade guests and members of the campaign for Real Ale.

Doors open to the public at noon on Friday and the festival runs until Saturday night.

Organiser Alan Cooper says the Governor will be performing an important role
