by isleofman.com 12th April 2012

Cricketers in the North of the Island are counting the cost after a vandalism attack.

Ramsey Cricket Club’s pitch at Ramsey Grammar School was torn up at some time over the last week, causing around ?4,000 worth of damage.

The incident comes just a week before the start of the cricket season, meaning the club might have to play elsewhere while the damage is repaired.

Olly Webster is captain of the first team.
