Island based building services and FM contractor Stewart Clague Services (SCS) has further boosted its quality accreditations with the recent award of ISO 14001 ‘environmental standard’. This is in addition to their existing accreditations that SCS are operating, ISO 9001 ‘quality management’ and OHSAS 18001 ‘health and safety’.
Alan Clague, director of SCS said “the environmental standard really supplements our business, both in terms of the need to reduce energy consumption and provide efficiencies across the business and is often a requirement for many of our commercial customers who follow the same standard in their business and need to be at the forefront with renewable technology and energy efficiencies.
SCS were first to supply solar panel installations across the Island having done so since the 1970’s, however with renewable technology moving so fast directors Gary Crittenden and Alan Clague attended the world’s biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment ‘Ecobuild’ show at the ExCel, London last month. SCS have recently supplied and installed several commercial wood chip boilers on the Isle of Man using on Island carbon neutral wood chip fuel along with gas fired combined heat and power (CHP) units and ground/air source heat pumps.
