by isleofman.com 10th April 2012

Island based wealth management service provider, IOMA Group is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Manx road-cycling talent, Tom Black as part of the company’s sustained commitment to the local community.

A keen cyclist since aged six, Tom has swiftly built up a reputation amongst the Under-23 road-cycling fraternity as a rising star and most recently scored an impressive win riding for the Cycle Premier Covert Team at the 64 mile Bill Jinks Memorial Race on Sunday 25th March.  Tom has also represented the Isle of Man in India at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and has spent the past year travelling across Europe to race in various high-profile events.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Managing Director, Nigel Wood said, “We are proud to support Tom in his bid to become a professional cyclist. Tom has already proven himself to be a key asset to the Island’s sporting community and provides great inspiration to our deepening pool of talented local youngsters. He also embodies many of the things that we here at IOMA Group believe in – he is competitive, fit ‘for purpose’ and a winner!  We hope this sponsorship goes some way in helping Tom to further his promising career.”
