by isleofman.com 7th April 2012

Matt Janes of Bedford and County AC made it two wins out of two in the Easter Athletics Festival.

He added the Peel Hill Climb title to the 10 Kilometre event he won on Good Friday.

Second was Tim Pattison of Cambridge University, third was Freddie Slemeck of Leeds, while local Lloyd Taggart finished an impressive fourth.

In the women’s race, Olivia Walwyn Bush pipped Rosie Smith in a reverse of the Good Friday 10km event, setting up a final race showdown on Easter Day for the women’s title.

Polly Keen was third.

Rachael Franklin was the best local in ninth place, followed by Gail Griffiths in 11th and Sarah Astin in 12th.
