Island prepared for ARI loss, says minister

by isleofman.com 4th April 2012

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says the Island is prepared for the loss of the Attribution Regime for Individuals later this week.

The controversial measures which were criticised by Europe will be officially abolished on Friday.

Mr Teare says the government has been working with professional bodies through the Tax Liaison Committee help firms understand corporate distribution taxation.

He says the committee has highlighted areas where more clarity is needed – and he’s hoping that work will reassure investors and their advisers about company tax in future.
