Firefighters tackle Peel blaze

by isleofman.com 4th April 2012

Fire crews tackled a blaze at a flat in Peel this afternoon after a pile of logs next to a wood burner caught light.

The incident happened at 2pm on Marine Parade when firefighters rescued a dog from the property.

The dog was none the worse for its ordeal and nobody else was injured.

The Fire and Rescue Service says people shouldn’t store extra logs near burners – particularly if the wood has been dried out already.
