Rea recovers to finish fifth

Castletown resident Jonathan Rea secured a fifth place finish in Sunday's World Superbike round at Imola in Italy.

Rea came through a high-speed crash in practice unscathed to take ninth spot in the opening race before finishing fifth in the second.

Both races were won by series leader Carlos Checa.

Honda rider Rea is sixth in the standings after two rounds on 29 points.
