The work of the Attorney General's Chambers is to be reviewed.
It’s been requested by Chief Minister Allan Bell and has been commissioned by the acting head of the chambers, Michelle Norman.
There’s been concern and criticism from both Island politicians and members of the judiciary over how prosecutions on the Island are being handled.
That’s prompted Mr Bell to take action.
Former HM Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service Stephen Wooler will carry out the review.
Although part of the work will focus on the Prosecutions Team, Mr Wooler will also review the work of chambers as a whole, including advisory, civil litigation and drafting work carried out.
