Blythe Financial Limited is proud to confirm that it was the recipient of two awards at the Institute’s recent dinner.
Sue Blythe was awarded with the Educational Award for having achieved the status of Chartered Financial Planner and the Isle of Man’s first Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. These are the most prestigious qualifications offered by the Chartered Insurance Institute and significantly more advanced than either the current or proposed regulatory minimum requirements.
This is the second year running that Blythe Financial has received this award with Alan Blythe having received it in 2011, also for achieving Chartered Financial Planner status.
Commenting on the award Sue Blythe said, “We are delighted to be able to demonstrate so clearly our commitment to the highest professional standards, which are well above the required minimum standards. Achieving the highest level of qualification, especially at a time when so many people in our industry are making a virtue out of being forced by regulatory pressure to lift their basic level of qualifications, shows how dedicated we are to excellence. This award recognises the sheer amount of hard work required to attain this prestigious qualification.”
Alan Blythe, on behalf of the company, was then was presented with the award of corporate Chartered Financial Planner. This award is bestowed upon only those firms who both achieve and maintain a commitment to continuous educational improvement of all of its staff and adherence to a strict Code of Ethics. There are fewer than 400 firms of Chartered Financial Planners in the British Isles.
“This award recognises not just those within our business that have achieved the individual Chartered Financial Planner Status but also the commitment of all of our staff to achieving suitable and desirable qualifications. As a business we are dedicated to education and learning and believe that this benefits both ourselves and our clients. It is also recognition of the fact that we aspire to be the best we possibly can be and that merely attaining the required minimum standards is not sufficient.”
Subsequent to the dinner Alan Blythe has also achieved the status of Fellow of the Personal Finance Society meaning that of the three local Fellows, two of them, Alan & Sue, are directors of Blythe Financial.
Alan Blythe is also a Chartered Associate of the Institute of Financial Services and is the only person in the Isle of Man to hold both of these Chartered titles.
