Proposed govt TV explained

by isleofman.com 29th March 2012

3FM’s managing director says ?250,000 per year from government wouldn’t be used to fund the company’s news offering.

Ron Berry says the cash he’s asking for would instead be used to provide online videos promoting the work of the various departments.

At presentations to Tynwald members, he’s been outlining proposals to set up a Manx government TV website costing departments just under ?500 per week each.

Mr Berry says that’s separate from the upcoming My TVIM news service.
