The Children’s Centre’s Out2Play scheme has a fun packed school holiday in store for youngsters this Easter. It all starts in Onchan on Monday April 2 from 10am to noon with more activities in locations across the Island planned for the rest of the holiday. As always, the sessions are run by The Children’s Centre’s Playworkers supported by volunteers, and as well as offering a chance to play it is also a good opportunity to meet new friends. Sessions are open to children aged five to eleven. Children younger than five can take part if a parent/guardian is present to support them.
Chris Gregory, Playwork Development Officer at The Children’s Centre, said:
“Keeping all the events outside this holiday period will help to accommodate everyone. In terms of activities there’ll be den building, making rope swings and rope climbing courses as well as loads of new events. We’ve got a lot of fun and games planned - but one thing we can’t guarantee is good weather so we’re advising everyone to come armed with a waterproof coat just in case.”
