Friends Provident International (FPI) employee, John Pattie MCSI was presented with an award to recognise achieving joint highest mark in the Advanced Certificate in Global Securities Operations exam at the prestigious Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) dinner in London last week.

The CISI is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK and a growing number of major international financial centres. Hundreds of people around the world sat the exam and John shares the top spot with a fellow candidate from Qatar, who was also present at the dinner.

John, who has worked at FPI for five years, has shown continuous commitment to studying towards professional qualifications and already has the CISI Investment Administration Qualification and Advanced Level 5 NVQ to his name. Since completing the Advanced Certificate in Global Securities Operations he has now also gained a full CISI diploma in investment operations and will soon begin studying for another diploma in investment compliance.

Jonathan Hall, General Manager and Director at Friends Provident International said:
"We place great emphasis on giving our employees the opportunity to study and develop throughout their career with Friends Provident International. John has obviously worked very hard and this is an outstanding achievement."
