Government prepares for public meeting

by isleofman.com 28th March 2012

The first of a series of public meetings to air their views on planned cuts takes place this evening.

Chief Minister Allan Bell will head the gathering at the Manx Museum in Douglas.

It’s hoped the community meetings will generate debate on government proposals to save ?35 million over the next year.

Mr Bell says it’s an opportunity for locals to question ministers and discuss the direction of the new administration.
