Ramsey break clear

by isleofman.com 26th March 2012

Ramsey secured an important victory in MBL Women's Division Two on Sunday, defeating second placed DHSOB 3-2 at Ballacloan.

The northerners are now six points clear of their title-challenging rivals.

The Ballacloan outfit were twice pegged back by a Rachael Warrilier-Grant brace.

But when Karmina Kovanda struck her second of the game, there was no way back for Old Boys.

Lauren Stoutt scored the other for the home side.

The other match in Division Two finished all square, with Colby and Rushen drawing 1-1.

Rachael Huxley gave Rushen a first half before Laura Beggs drew Colby level.

In Division One, Corinthians edged closer to a third successive title with a 4-0 win at Gymns.

Kiera Morgan, Sarah O’Reilly, Anna Dillon and Shannon Groves were on target for the champions.

The match between Douglas Royal and Castletown was postponed as the southerners couldn’t field a team.
