Medical whistleblowing under scrutiny

by isleofman.com 24th March 2012

There’ll be questions about enforced whistleblowing among medical staff when the House of Keys sits next week.

During Tuesday’s sitting, South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft will ask Health Minister David Anderson about new guidelines from the General Medical Council.

The GMC says UK staff could face disciplinary action if they fail to report poor care from colleagues.

Mrs Beecroft says she wants to know whether the doctors here are being told about the new guidelines.
