A junior doctor at Noble's Hospital will be away with the birds this weekend when he sets out to Walk the 'Raad ny Foillan' or the Way of the Gull.

Dr Harry Whitehead will start the 95 mile coastal footpath on Sunday morning to raise money to purchase children's x-ray equipment for the Noble's radiology department, as well as for two non-profit organisations that provide radiology equipment and training in developing and third world countries.

Dr Whitehead originally had the idea when he was in his final year as a medical student.
