A Douglas-based business is celebrating after being given the government’s first Green Business Loan.

The new scheme lends firms money interest-free so they can afford to put energy-saving measures into place.

The Department of Economic Development has announced the first Island firm to be given a loan is Whilo’s Bray Hill filling station.

The department’s Senior Policy Manager for Energy Ken Milne explains what the loan will be used for.
