Hundred million pounds needed for Manx roads

Will Manx roads ever be fully up to scratch?

It's currently estimated that ?100 million would be needed to make all of the Island's 500 miles of roads fully satisfactory.

Director of Highways, Richard Pearson, says the last two winters have caused millions of pounds worth of damage and currently there is a large backlog of work to be done.

However, in the current economic climate they're having to patch up routes where they can
