World Bonnag Making Championships

Get your mixing bowls ready for competition once again.

The World Bonnag Making Championships take place this evening (Fri 23rd)

The annual contest to scale the heights of Bonnag excellence is held in deepest Dalby.

It's organised by the Friends of St James Church and judged by legendary baking supremo Bert Winkle. Competition bonnags can be brought to St James' schoolrooms from 6.30pm, ahead of the judging evening at 7.30 which includes a concert and supper.

Proceeds from the evening will go to Hospice Isle of Man, the Manx Overseas Charity the Pahar Trust Nepal and the St James' church restoration fund.

Margy Killey from the organisers says there are classes for all-comers
